Campus Services is upgrading the handrails inside the WPEC as part of an ADA upgrade initiative. Currently there are temporary orange barriers in certain areas inside the building. The permanent handrail modifications will begin July 7, 2009. All work (except paint touch up) will be performed when the WPEC is closed.

Summer 2009 Means Drive Road Closure

Due to utility construction for the Freshman Hall #4 Building, Means Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic and pedestrian access will change as shown on the attached graphic. The closure will occur from 5/13/09 until 8/14/09. Means Drive will be closed from the Woodruff Health Sciences parking lot to Pierce Drive. Pedestrian bridge access will remain, however all pedestrians using Means Drive will be rerouted with appropriate signage for the duration of this work. The motorcycle designated parking will be maintained by way of the yellow hatched bus lane along Means Drive, however there will be no other vehicular access or parking allowed.

In addition, one lane of Eagle Row will be closed during business hours from 5/13/09 until 8/14/09. The lane closure will occur in a progressive sequence from the corner of Few Hall to the Parking lot entrance of Dooleys Den. Construction will occur during working hours with flagmen directing traffic and appropriate signage for pedestrians. Lanes will reopen in the evening.
