Periodic Lane Closures Clifton Road
It will be necessary from time to time to c lose a lane on Clifton Road during the day. This is a necessary safety precaution for crews working on the Clifton Road and Healthgate Intersection Project. Lane closures during the day will take place at off peak travel times. Lane closures will also be required periodically at nights. This will occur after the evening rush hour and will be completed before the morning rush hour.
Additional project information can be found at the following websites:
Campus Services is replacing a steam line serving the WPEC and Dobbs Hall. It will tie into a steam manhole in the round-a-bout on Dickey Drive. Therefore, we intend to close one side as noted below beginning 10/10. A map of the lane closure is attached. Additionally:
We expect the work to take 2-3 weeks depending on subsurface conditions.
We will maintain two-way traffic on one side of the roundabout.
Traffic safety personnel will be present when loading/unloading construction materials, or for any special events that require shuttles/large trucks/etc. to pass this area.

Sidewalk Closed South of Gambrell Drive. Please Use Detour Sidewalk to Reach N. Decatur Road
The sidewalk south of Gambrell Drive has been closed due to ongoing work associated with the Clifton Road Project. A temporary detour sidewalk is in place which provides pedestrians a means of reaching N. Decatur Road. At night, the path is lit with LED lamps controlled by a photo cell. Please see the attached graphic which shows the route of the temporary sidewalk. This detour will remain in place until approximately October 30, 2016.
